DEVELOPMENT:
- Outlook was first read at TOSOS Theatre’s Robert Chesley/Jane Chambers Playwrights Project; a reading series for new and classic LGBT plays. It was further developed in the Playwrights Circle at EAT, and presented as part of their “First Taste” series. The Dublin production will be the World Premiere.
- TOSOS, founded by the late playwright Doric Wilson is the oldest LGBT theatre company in New York City. For more information: www.tosos2.org.

THE CAST:
- Meghan Cary (Susan) is also a well-known American singer/songwriter. She’s recorded 4 albums, the most recent in January, 2012, and toured extensively in the U.S. She’s a voiceover artist as well, adding her dulcet tones to many ads on television and radio. www.meghancary.com.
- Donnetta Lavinia Grays (Brown) has appeared on all the Law & Order shows, (and most of the other shows filmed in New York City) and was a regular on the NBC series “Mercy.” On film, she shared the screen with Mickey Rourke in “The Wrestler,” and on Broadway, with award-winning playwright/performer Lisa Kron (in Well). www.donnettagrays.com.
- Irene Longshore played a leading role in the feature film “The New Year Parade,” (2008), and was seen on the television series “Boston Public,” and “America’s Most Wanted.” She played the lead (and sang the theme song) in Kathleen Warnock’s play “Secret Angel” at Emerging Artists Theatre’s EATfest in 2010. www.irenelongshore.com
- Danielle Quisenberry (Patience) is a sought-after choreographer for television and film, and teaches dance at the college/conservatory level; she’s provided commentary for televised ballroom dancing competitions. She appeared in the award-winning documentary “ Mad Hot Ballroom.” She was one of the last of the Playboy Bunnies. www.studioqd.com
- By the end of the 2012 IDGTF, Mark Finley will have directed four different productions in the festival: Kathleen Warnock’s Some Are People, Chris Weikel’s Pig Tale, Kathleen Warnock’s Outlook, and Michael Lynch’s Livin’ on the Real.
- As an actor, Mark has appeared in Garet Scott’s Roll With the Punches (in a dual role) and Eagle Squadron Go, and David Pumo’s Auntie Mayhem.
- Mark made his off-Broadway directorial debut with Chris Weikel’s Penny Penniworth.
- As a playwright, Mark’s work includes The Chiselers, The Mermaid, Forever Under and an adaptation of Young Stowaways in Space.
PLAYWRIGHT
- By day, Kathleen Warnock is an editor for Frommer’s Travel Guides. Books she has edited include Frommer’s Ireland, and the forthcoming second edition of Frommer’s Ireland Day by Day.
- Kathleen is series editor for Best Lesbian Erotica (Cleis Press). Each year, with a guest judge, she selects stories for the annual anthology. Guest judges she’s worked with include BETTY (the band), Lea DeLaria, Sinclair Sexsmith and Jewelle Gomez.
- She hosts a reading series (since 2004) called Drunken! Careening! Writers! at the KGB Bar in the East Village of New York City. The series is dedicated to 1) good writers; who 2) read their work well; and 3) something in it makes people laugh (nervous laughter counts). And 15 minutes tops.
- She was a senior writer for ROCKRGRL magazine, and her work has also appeared in many newspapers and magazines, ranging from BUST to Ms. to Metal Maidens to American Book Review. She wrote the liner notes for the Joan Jett CD “Unfinished Business.”
- She has appeared on five game shows, and won $50,000 on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.”
